Western Prison Project RSS

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a way for our website to automatically generate snippets of our latest stories and send them to you, so you can browse them and decide it you want to visit our site and read the whole story. We are among a growing number of websites on the Internet using RSS.

We offer many RSS feeds, sorted by place or by issue, as well as our main site feed. These feeds include headlines, summaries and links back to our website for the full article.

We offer the feeds, but you have to have a way to read them. You will need news reader software, or subscribe to a website that supports this technology. Unfortunately, we cannot help you set up an RSS reader (sometimes called an aggregator). But some email programs are starting to enable the ability to read RSS, and there is software that you can install so that you can read RSS feeds with your email.

It is up to you whether to use RSS, but for us, it is a simple, very low-maintenance way to keep you informed of our latest content.

Check out the list below, and it's always a good idea to check a sample of the feed before adding it to your news reader to make sure you're getting the right category.

If you have questions about how RSS works, you can read more at this article on the Tech Soup website.

RSS is completely independent of our Oregon Action Alert list, or any other email lists that WPP maintains.

Thanks for your interest.
